No, don’t worry, I’m not hanging up my laptop. (Um, unless someone wants to buy me a MacBook Pro or MacBook Air, in which case I’d gladly retire this here lowly three-year old white MacBook, bless her heart.)
I was really down on myself for no good reason today (nothing happened, I’m not PMSing, and I’m usually in a really good mood.) I got a handful of comments (though not actually on the post…comment section is below, folks!) on Facebook where I cross-post, e-mails and Gchat. And while I’ve thanked y’all personally, I wanted to thank you all as readers. There are a lot of other things on the Internet you could be doing with your time, but you care about my desire to get skinny, or you like my silly food photos or you’re trying to get skinny yourself. For whatever reason you’re reading, thank you. And for those who have said I am inspiring, wow 🙂 I know what I’ve done in the past few months is pretty awesome, but that is a huge compliment. Having y’all to keep myself honest to really helps.
Walking home from the gym, I was still in a bit of a Debbie Downer mood. My right knee has been pretty sore lately – the trainer says this is from overuse. Our session today was about half weights and half intense stretching and foam rolling. He told me to cut out running until it stopped hurting – a huge irony. I hated running when I started this, but I love it now and am definitely bummed I can’t do it for a while. I was walking home past a Thai place and a pizza place and had the “is that really soooo bad?” thought. YES. IT. IS. I knew I held myself accountable to y’all (and, um, my trainer is definitely now reading this…HI JOEL!) so I didn’t do it.
Anyway, I definitely don’t usually post when I’m in a down mood as a cry for help, but the nice comments I get always help, and I really appreciate it and all the kind words.
