There is little in this world that makes me happier than my mom’s spaghetti and meatballs (most of my friends agree). So I rarely turn down a chance to eat them. These days, I ask her to use whole wheat pasta and I throw some spinach in to make it all a little healthier. Dessert: those little cakes with strawberries and some cream.
Today Jen and I rocked 6 miles. As we both have been sucking on our 10-miler training, we should have done 8 but didn’t want to kill ourselves. My mom had bribed us to come over with some spaghetti sauce, so we ran 6 miles Franklin Lakes style. I still don’t know how to get around the lake, so we didn’t quite do the route I had planned, but it was good anyway. I felt really strong the entire time and am excited for us to tackle 8 for real next weekend. This run was a bit slow as we stopped to walk a few times, but hey, we ran 6 miles.
