It’s Mystic(al.)

HI!! Remember me? I blog here every once in a while?

Life these past two weeks has been: work, sleep, repeat, so I haven’t had much to say. I’ve had a hard time fitting workouts in to 12-hour work days, and I know it’s made me crankier for the wear. I finally ran on Thursday morning and I had a serious breakthrough in clarity later that morning at work. Must remind myself when I feel cranky in the future.

Last night, I went through hell (Penn Station on a Friday night) to hop on a train to come up to Mohegan Sun for the weekend to hang with some blogger buddies. We came in January , and they invited us back again this weekend. Okay, fine.

I got in late, killed some room service and got to sleep.

Wild night.

I got a wonderful eight hours of sleep, we grabbed some Starbucks and went out for a beautiful bike ride around Mystic.

And a graveyard?

We rode to B.F. Clyde’s Cider Mill. We could smell the apple and spices for a good half-mile approaching the mill, and it was amazing. Standing inside the mill and smelling those apples and feeling the steam on our faces was such a warm, cozy moment.

They also make adult ciders, which we tried. My favorite was the Blackout cider, and not just because it was the strongest. I usually like hard cider, but most of these were really really sweet, other than the Blackout cider.

We also sampled some of the regular cider and apple cider donuts.

I’ll be back tomorrow with some more Mohegan Sun fun.

What’s your favorite fall treat?

So jealous you ladies had an opportunity to hit up the cider mill! Sounds like it was delicious! I love anything pumpkin. I even made some yummy chocolate chip pumpkin bread today. Such a great treat!
It was great meeting you this weekend! Looking forward to the recap! BTW – Still so full!

Looks like a wonderful weekend. Favorite fall treat – honeycrisp apples! The orchard I go to does have the cider donuts–I tried a bit last year. Had to stop because it was so good I would probably eat the entire tray of samples every time I visit.
