Things That Are Making Me Happy

You guys, I am so freaking happy right now. I’ve had a lot going on for a while, and I’m still not out of those woods yet, but let’s talk instead about the things going on making me happy instead right now, okay?

Awesome.

I passed the RRCA test! Now I just need to go take the CPR/first aid class next week, and I’ll be a certified running coach!

I FINALLY had an awesome tempo run yesterday. It felt challenging, but not like I was about to die, and I was seriously grinning when I was done.

Junior League is about to start up again for the fall. I can’t say enough great things about the brilliant, motivating women I’m lucky to work with and the great work we do in the community.

I got to go to a really cool press breakfast yesterday with Lorna Jane Clarkson, founder of Lorna Jane Active, an Australian activewear line that is expanding into the U.S. (I did a review a few months ago of some of their clothes.) The company and its mission are really cool, so more TK on this soon, but it was incredibly inspiring.

What’s good in your life right now?

Yay for passing the test. Don’t awesome tempo runs make you feel like you are on top of the world? I am marathon training now and I feel like each week I either have a great long run or a great tempo run (never in the same week but that is OK…for now) and those great runs allow me to fly high for a few days )

It’s freaking amazing what one good run can do for the psyche. I know there has been a ton of other things going on for you, but I’m glad this has helped to get things on the right track! 🙂
PS: The green and gold top in that picture? I think I need it.
