Will Most Definitely Run for Brunch

Happy Saturday!

This is my current view (well, sort of. The laptop is open because I am typing on it, but you get it) and I love it.

I have nowhere to be for the rest of the day, and that is an amazing feeling for this go-go-go girl.

On Tuesday night, I had a crappy date, and I think I went to sleep with my shoulders really tensed up, because I woke up with a seriously stiff neck/shoulders, which has been bothering me since Wednesday. I went for a swim, hoping that would loosen things up, but it didn’t, so I took Thursday off from any exercise other than walking my little furball. It was kind of weird waking up and having that much time before work! I didn’t know what to do with myself.

Yesterday afternoon, my coworkers were doing one of our 15-minute workouts, and I decided it was a good time to test out the neck to see if I was ready to work out again. And I desperately needed a break from my desk. I’m so used to long or high-intensity workouts that I sometimes forget a short workout is better than nothing, so it was a nice reminder.

This morning, I had ridiculous amounts of fun at my JuicePress run club with lots of familiar faces, including my coworker Alex! Free juice and endorphins: what could be better?!

My Junior League run club has started running every week instead of once a month and doing brunch afterwards. We needed to change things up from the Boathouse, so we’ve been trying different brunch spots. I get to meet new friends at JuicePress, and then catch up with old friends afterwards. Perfect!

The Dutch Brunch

Today’s was The Dutch, and it was A+++. I got the eggs with smoked salmon, mostly because they came with a bagel, and I was a very, very happy camper.

I think it’s time for a nap.

What are you up to this weekend? Favorite brunch foods?

The Juice Press group sounds like a lot of fun, but in my past running club I grew tired of feeling like I was the slowest one in the group… What is the speed of the Juice Press group? What type of distances do you typically do?

I was just talking to someone yesterday about how brunch is the best meal of the week! I went to a great place in ATL a few weeks ago, and I had breakfast nachos. Yes, they were just as amazing as they sound. I’m pretty much a sucker for anything on the menu that comes with poached eggs, bacon, avocado, or a combination of those items.
