8 Simple and Inspiring Raw Swaps from Choosing Raw

Link: 8 Simple and Inspiring Raw Swaps from Choosing Raw

nutritionista:

I’m not a raw foodist (or even vegetarian) but all of Gena’s swaps make so much sense to me and are things I’m working on. I admonish people to eat non-processed food that’s as close to its natural state as possible, and obviously raw food is as close as it gets! I’m listing her swaps here, but please take time to read the full post. It’s great!

● Hemp protein for whey or soy protein
● Larabars for Lunabars, Clif Bars, Probars, Quaker Bars, etc.
● Sprouted grains for regular grains

● Almond milk for soy milk

● Coconut water for Gatorade

● Collard leaves for wraps

● Raw goat’s cheese for regular cheese
● Green juice for coffee (if you don’t have a juicer, green tea for coffee is a good compromise, though it’s obviously not raw)

Another bar I’d recommend, which I tried today, is the Gnu Bar. It is yummy, has few ingredients (and the ones that do are all natural — no high-fructose corn syrup) and a shitload (pun intended) of fiber. I’m all about it.
