I just read this and started desperately wanting ice cream. I blame Tumblr and the incessant flow of deliverymen in and out of my building for most of my food cravings.
The Duane Reade next door to me is open 24 hours. It’s kind of like your college convenience store. You have to convince yourself sometimes it isn’t there or you’ll spend all your money and get fat there. So, again, I restrained my worse craving and chose to indulge a slightly healthier craving. (I’m also still sick, which makes me both lazier and hungrier. Bad combination.)
I had a Chobani Greek yogurt with fruit on the bottom in my fridge, so I put some extra fruit in to cover up their nasty fruit, and added a bit of a granola for a healthy snack/dessert. It’s no ice cream, for sure, but I mushed up the berries and it’s kind of like a sundae?
Strange fact #1: I don’t like fruit-on-the-bottom yogurt, but I like putting fruit in my yogurt.
Strange fact #2: I like cheese, I like hamburgers, but I don’t like cheeseburgers.
I don’t tell you these things to be like “oh! Look! She’s healthier than me!” but rather to show you how to satisfy some of your less-healthy cravings in a way that’s better for you.
