Sporting my new running gear before a training session with Joel, which was followed by the hardest 3-mile run ever. I was supposed to do a 5-mile run at the pace I intend to run the marathon at, but instead, I busted out three sub-8:30 miles (!!) and called it a day so my legs would be ready for tomorrow’s 20-miler. My new shoes make me feel like I’m running on pillows—which means I maybe should have got them earlier. I was trying to wait for lunch, but I picked up a flatbread after picking up my bib for tomorrow.
