Back in sneaks!

This morning, I slept in until after 11. It was glorious.

I had to drop Bailey off at the groomer and get him some food, so I decided that today was as good a time as any to get back in my running sneakers. After training for 18 weeks for a marathon, running on a weekend morning is such a part of my routine that it would have felt weird not to, anyway.

I couldn’t find my sneaks (but that’s another story), so I threw on an old pair and went for about 3.5 miles over the Brooklyn Bridge and back. My Garmin is still misbehaving, so, again, I used it as an expensive stopwatch. I kind of wish I had brought it to the expo last weekend to have the Garmin folks look at it, like E did, but alas, I did not.

The run was fine, save for the million tourists on the bridge, but I expected that. It cleared out my sinuses a bit more. Now, I’m back to resting.

Breakfast pre-run was banana on top of an English muffin with almond butter.
