Italian Easter

There’s Easter, and then there’s an Italian Easter.

Salumi and mozzarella. And yum.

Raspberry and orange spread. Yum.

Mom, you better watch your back. I like this little guy.

He wasn’t quite as happy with this as he looks.

So he made me wear the ears for the family picture. I don’t know why I look so awkward. Maybe it’s because I have bunny ears on and I’m holding 22 pounds of dog.

Baked ziti. Probably the best part of Easter. Or any holiday.

Stuffed artichokes. Cheese makes anything better.

Prime rib.

Salad with baby spinach, goat cheese, dried cranberries, walnuts and balsamic vinaigrette.

My plate: round 1. Ziti, broccoli, prime rib and ham. The ham was made with pineapple and had a nice juicy taste.

It wouldn’t be an Italian holiday without cannoli.

Carrot cake.

Another cake. We don’t mess around. Marty, my cousin’s husband, helped me line up the shot. “Put the flowers in the back!”

Teddy. He’s a bischon.
