This Giveaway Could Save Your Life

I have an interview, a run and a hot air balloon ride on my schedule today, so why don’t you enter a giveaway? Yes? Great.

Remember a few weeks ago I talked about how great a RoadID is? Well, I got them to do a giveaway for you guys!

This giveaway could literally save your life. Imagine getting injured while training and having no identifying information on you and emergency response technicians have no way to get ahold of your emergency contacts. The creator of RoadID started the company after being hit by a truck and realizing the importance of carrying ID while training.

How to Enter:

  • Tell me what you’re training for and how it’s going! Where would you use RoadID? What kind would you get?
  • If you could propose a new style, what would it be?
  • What running mantra would you put on yours, or what’s your running mantra? I put “I run because I can” on mine–I couldn’t always run, and I may not always be able to run, but right now I can run, and so I do.
  • Like RoadID on Facebook and leave a comment here that you’ve done so
  • Follow RoadID on Twitter and leave a comment that you’ve done so

  • I've run a half marathon on the treadmill, and have yet to run even a 5k outside! So that's what I'm currently training for... August 6th!

  • I don't tweet, but they just got Like'd by me on Facebook. Thanks for hosting this, Theodora! Hope your balloon ride adventure is amazing - the idea of that is way outside my comfort zone! ;)

  • I'm killing my training (if I do say so myself :) ) I'm running the Queens half on Sat and the Full Mary in Nov...running tons along with crossfit and swimming. I def could use a road id! Between trail running and biking in remote areas it would literally be a lifesaver for me if I ever got injured. I'd probably go with the wrist version.

Good luck with the interview and the balloon ride!

  • I'm "pre-training" for a marathon, but it's been interesting. I think I do better with a plan instead of general mileage goals, and I've had some personal stuff get in the way. I finally gave in and purchased myself a RoadID (I think my mom was ecstatic) but if I win I'll give the free one to my sister, who also runs outside.

  • Oh, and I follow RoadID on Twitter. (Their customer service is pretty great, by the way. They misprinted my initial ID and I got a new one within a week!)

  • I am training for the Disney Half Marathon that's this January! I would use RoadID for all of my outdoor runs! I would get wrist ID slim
