Yesterday was a randomly awesome day.
I beat my 4-mile PR!
I finally got my hair done.
And the salon had two cute little dogs running around, offered me wine and told me I could bring Bailey the next time I came. Oh, and is $50 cheaper than the last place I went. Serious win.
He got a haircut, too. No, really. I swear he has eyes.
And I made Anne’s Healthier Seven Layer Dip to bring to Emily’s Super Bowl party. No olives, because they’re gross.
I ended up bringing a six-pack of Corona to the party and drinking about four and still feeling completely sober. I used to only drink light beers like Corona, but I’ve found that now that I’ve started enjoying better, tastier beers, I only need one or two because they’re so much more filling.
AND THE GIANTS WON!
I get a lot of pitches, and spare you from most of them, but I got a pretty funny one last week. Charles Platkin, PhD, MPH, assistant professor at CUNY School of Public Health at Hunter College and editor of DietDetective.com sent me some funny stats about what you’d have to do to burn off the calories in some typical Super Bowl foods and what are healthier swaps.

Where do you get your highlights done in the city? I'm looking for a place that's good for blondes - yours look great!
@Juliette @ Finish Your Broccoli: It's called Heights Salon in Brooklyn Heights, and I went to Rafael, the owner. It's a little bit bright right now, but will fade.
