I have some important things to share with you…
Most importantly of all, I saw Anchorman 2 last night AND WILL FERRELL CAME TO THE THEATER.
I did the ridiculous Super Ticket thing, and I’m so, so glad I did.
This is among the worst-quality photos I will ever post on my blog, but I was so close to him that I was able to get in the same frame. Steve Carell was also there, which was really cool, but I barely noticed him because I was too busy gaping at Mr. Ferrell. People were yelling his lines at him, which was hilarious and amazing, and made me feel that I was amongst my people. Steve Carell said “I LOVE LAMP.” In the flesh. About 20 feet away from me. I was screaming “I’m in a glass case of emotion” in my head, but I don’t think it came out of my mouth. I can’t be sure, though.
I AM DYING OF HAPPINESS. As for the movie itself, I won’t ruin anything, but I will say this: 95% of it was hilarious, but there was some terrible, terrible racist stuff that I am shocked made it all the way through production and into the movie.

Sarah Fit “Get Skinny Again” Book Giveaway
My buddy Sarah from Sarah Fit has just come out with her first book. I’m so, so proud of this girl. She works her ass off.
Since I know some of you will have issues with the title…Sarah will tell you herself that she didn’t pick it. Unfortunately, skinny is what sells.
The book is aimed at women who were former high school or college athletes and have no idea what to do with themselves to stay fit and healthy if they don’t have a coach or organized team telling them what to do. As someone who played sports in high school and then became a varsity beer pong athlete in college, I can definitely identify with that and truly wish I’d discovered fitness and this whole healthy lifestyle thing much earlier than I did. She shares workouts, healthy recipes and tips for how to navigate social situations and stick with your healthy goals.
Read on, because I have a copy of her book for one of you to win.

Another one of my blog buddies, Gina from the Fitnessista has come out with her own workout DVD.
I love her, and I’m super proud of her, but I won’t even pretend that I can dance. Like, even a little bit.
I tried taking her class at the Healthy Living Summit a few years ago, and I had three left feet.
But the woman knows how to shake it, and dance can be a great way to get cardio in…if you don’t have three feet like me.
I have one of her DVDs to give away, too! And a coin belt, which is apparently what you wear when you shake it 🙂
For a chance to win either Sarah’s book or Gina’s DVD, leave a comment telling me what you wish you could tell your younger self about living a healthy life OR your favorite workout that doesn’t feel like a workout at all – and whether you’d like the book or DVD. This giveaway will close Wednesday, December 17 at noon EST.
No idea why I chose Frank Sinatra lyrics to name my last post on this…
As I mentioned in my last post, I've really been going through it with headaches.…

I have been thinking about this post for a while—on why diet culture is unhealthy…
I woke up this morning already feeling anxious. (Yay!) My standard iPhone alarm is set…
I read The Midnight Library over the weekend, and I need to talk about it.…

Hmm..my favorite workout that doesn't feel like a workout would be lifting. I love going to the gym and having a set plan for the day of whether I'm going to be lifting chest/back/legs etc, and pushing myself to increase my weights each time. Honestly, sometimes running feels more like a workout to me!
I'd love to win Sarah's new book! She was one of the first bloggers I followed when I joined Tumblr and started my blog, so it's cool to see her journey!
I wish I could tell me younger self to stop eating so much pasta!
I would've started eating vegetables sooner! They're not so bad after all...
Don't eat everything your boyfriend eats!!!! They don't gain weight like us girls
One thing I would tell my younger self about health is MODERATION!! Also, health is more of a balance to me, not just eating right and exercising, but balancing the mind and body. I would love the DVD or book - both sound awesome!
I wish I could just tell my younger self that it's all about a healthy balance and moderation!
When I don't really feel like doing a "workout", I always turn to my Zumba DVD. It gets my heart rate up and is great cardio, but fun and a great stress-reliever! :-)
I'd tell my younger self to use the gym at the dorm and to eat something other than chicken quesadillas.
I'd love to win the book. Thank you for such a cool giveaway!
I did 3 sports in high school, and now in college I do ZERO sports..so I really identify with Sarah's goal of reaching out to former athletes. Running has become my new passion and now I consider it my 'sport' :) I would REALLY like the Soli Beat DVD, though. I love dancing and think it'd be fun to make a workout out of it. I've been wanting to try the Fitnessista's new DVD for a while now!
Also, I wish I could tell my younger self not to turn to food to heal every emotion- celebration, anger, sadness, stress, etc. I'm working on it now though :)
I wish I had learned proper fueling when I was a high school athlete, our coaches avoided it I assume because they were afraid of encouraging girls to lose weight. Unfortunately I could have afforded to lose 5-10 lbs then, and need to lose more now. But I'm working on it!
