Happy Friday!!!

I’ve had a lot on my mind as of late, so I’ve had a wicked wicked case of insomnia AND am not doing a morning workout because I’m running the Brooklyn Half tomorrow, so I, blissfully, have some weird free time before work to check in with y’all.

Last night, my New Balance buds invited me to a pre-race party at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, a gorgeous, sleek hotel in Dumbo.

Then it was time to pick up my bib. AND YES, I talked one of my BFFs into her first half. SO PROUD.

I like running, have I mentioned that? It’s truly what keeps me at least moderately sane in the face of quite a bit of adversity. Though I’d be lying if I said I weren’t at least a little nervous about tomorrow after DNF-ing last year. But I’m reminding myself that even if I haven’t had a perfect training cycle, I’ve still trained, and my sinuses aren’t acting all weird like they were this time last year.

So, since it’s Friday, let’s talk about some things I’m loving/have my eye on, since apparently that’s what people do on the internets on Friday.

I’m reading two very different books at the moment: Extreme You, an inspirational book by Sarah Robb O’Hagan, the CEO of Flywheel and former CEO of Equinox, Gatorade, etc. I’m also reading Option B, by Sheryl Sandberg, about facing adversity and building resilience.

I had to skip our yearly Junior League/Lilly event the other night, but THIS romper is on my mind and will probably be in my shopping cart soon!

I am so much more of a dress person than anything else in the summer, but sometimes a girl needs shorts to bum around in, and these look cute and are at an amazing price point.

I’m OBSESSED with this Beautycounter balancing mask — it truly does make my skin feel more balanced and even.

GUYS the next season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is out today!!! I can’t wait to watch.

What are you loving lately?

  • I love love love when you post some must-have clothing items....I feel like we have similar style in a lot of ways (I am not fully on board with Lily despite being from Philly, her hometown) and I get excited because I know I will find some pieces I cannot live without!
