Join my half-marathon training program for your first or fastest half!
Let’s get you off and running!
If you’re ready to change your life through running, then listen up! This 12-week program is designed to make you feel like the empowered athlete you are. Over the course of these 12 weeks, whether you’re a first-time half-marathoner or you’re going for your fastest, I promise you will toe the start line ready for the 13.1 ahead. More importantly, you will finish with a smile on your face.
I’ll teach you all the nitty gritty of mechanics, strength training and nutrition—but I’ll also share with you the mental strategies I’ve personally used to get through 30+ half-marathons and 7 full marathons!
If you’re local to NYC, I’ll be leading monthly group training runs and will be gearing the program towards the Newport Liberty Half on September 16. It’s one of my favorite halfs—flat and fast! AND I’ve secured a discount for members of my training group.
If you’re participating remotely, I’ll be setting up a virtual race for you — or notify me about your goal race. (It doesn’t have to be September 16—I’ll help you customize your plan.)

“Theodora’s plan for me broke things down into small, easy to digest steps and stages but still gave me the flexibility to move things around to suit my own schedule too. I am not a runner—never have been, never will be—but running a half with my dad was important to me. Somewhere around mile 9 I actually said “this isn’t so bad!” and crossed the finish line with a smile on my face.” — Meg F.
“I am a 67-year-old active male who had never competed in a half marathon and in no shape to do so. I turned to coach Theodora Blanchfield who developed a four-month progressive training plan of running and exercise to assist in reaching that goal. I am happy to report that I completed the Brooklyn Half Marathon and had enough “gas in the tank” to have gone even further! Looking forward to one day finishing a full marathon.” — Lee F.
“I didn't know I was a runner until Theodora convinced me I was one. Beyond helping me build confidence in my abilities, Theodora created a smart and beginner-friendly training plan that prepared me for the half-marathon distance. She accompanied me on training runs, talked me through race strategy and logistics (I had a lot of questions!), and helped me cross that fateful finish line on the Coney Island boardwalk with a giant smile on my face. I've since run six half-marathons and even finished my first triathlon. I have Theodora to thank for giving me the push I needed, and encouraging me to continue pushing myself year after year.” — Jordan S.
“Training for my first half marathon with Theodora as my coach was a fantastic experience — my goal was to keep a consistent pace and finish strong, and her plan prepared me physically AND psychologically for my race. (Don't underestimate that Mile 10 wall!!) With Theodora's help, I felt confident throughout my whole race.” — Alex O.
