I’m not going to lie–a lot of stuff I try in the kitchen is blog-influenced.
I woke up this morning seriously craving some protein and protein powder wasn’t going to cut it, so I decided to make some eggs. I totally burned myself out on eggs when I was trying to lose weight, so the idea of plain eggs that I’ve made myself is pretty unappealing.
Enter: nutritional yeast for a “cheesy” taste. (I still haven’t tasted the “cheesy” taste…)
And Garlic Gold from my Healthy Living Summit swag bag.
I scrambled up two eggs and put them on an English muffin. They were tasty but still kind of dry so I put some salsa on top.

Sometimes, when I try to make things healthier, it just ends up being a waste of time/money. Enter: low fat brie. Dumbest purchase ever. Sometimes, you just need the good stuff.

I've tried nutritional yeast a few times and still don't get it. :(
I use nutritional yeast on popcorn with a bit of salt and butter. It's my go-to snack when I'm craving a carb snack. Love it!
I've been interested in trying nutritional yeast and Garlic Gold for a while after seeing them pop up on blogs... Everyone seems to rave about them, it's good to see at least one person who doesn't like them- we don't all like the same things!
I once bought some "cheezy" crackers from Etsy that were actually sort of like healthy slighly vegetable whole grain cheez-its. It can be done. You may need a professional kitchen...
