Last night, I knew I needed a good workout. I also knew I didn’t feel like getting on a machine that didn’t go anywhere, so I tried a boxing class at my gym.
OW.
Note I didn’t say kickboxing. It was straight-up, ass-kicking, punch-throwing boxing. With gloves. And lots of conditioning in between hitting the bags. Sore is an understatement right now. I can barely lift my arms to type and using my pinkies to hit those out-of-the-way keys is much more of a stretch than I can handle right now. Was it fun? Yes. Did I get out some frustration? YES. Was it a good workout? Absolutely. And it’s always good to mix it up every once in a while so both your body and mind don’t get bored.
I came home and made a stir-fry with the stuff I got at the farmer’s market the other day. I threw in chicken, carrots, red onions and kale. To make the sauce, I threw in cayenne pepper, soy sauce, sesame oil, a bit of EVOO and some Asian chili sauce. Delish!
For breakfast this morning, I had a bagel thin with sunflower seed butter and banana:
What workout has made you the sorest ever?
