Boston to Baltimore

This week is seriously nuts. Even this post is a traveler–I started it in Boston, but it’s posting now that I’m on the ground in Baltimore.

Getting up to Boston didn’t go so well–first, we sat on the runway for 45 minutes, and then once we were in the air, we circled for quite some time. It should be about a 30-40 minute flight, and once they said we were beginning our initial descent when we’d been in the air for 35 minutes, I knew something was up. (Me? Most paranoid flyer in the world. I was totally convinced that we’d been hijacked and were going to land somewhere completely different than Boston.)

Once we finally got on the ground, I went to go meet up with Tina and Mal at the Coolidge Corner Club. After such a long day, I desperately wanted a drink, so when I walked in and Mal said Tina had already walked over to the bookstore and he was about to do the same, I was a little bummed.

But I was there to see Tina, not to drink beer. (I guess.) She was really nervous, but she did a great job.

I mean, I would be really nervous if there were that many people in a room to hear just me talk about myself, too!

Mal, her sister and I sat in the front row as her paparazzi.

“And Murphy!”

After the reading/talk/Q&A, everyone lined up to have Tina sign their books!

And her mom brought cookies!

While Tina was doing her thing, I chilled in the back with some other bloggers: Lizzy, Beckie and Corrie.

Once the signing was over, it was beer time! We went to Publick House, one of Tina’s favorites. (I totally feel like I got the CNC tour last night. Tina pointed out lots of places she’s mentioned on her blog before.)

I got the moule frites (mussels and fries.)

By the time I got back to Casa CNC, it was midnight and way past our bedtimes for our early-morning flights. (The car picked us up at 5:30.)

I got to the airport, walked through the shortest security line ever, and made a beeline for breakfast. I wanted something a little more nutritious than a bagel, but there was only a Dunkin’ Donuts (WITH NO SANDWICHES. THE HORROR.) and a Cosi in my terminal. I noticed the oatmeal at Cosi about 2.5 seconds after I paid.

Now I’m at Fitbloggin’!
