Another flatbread for breakfast this morning. I was coming from NJ-home to work, and I didn’t want to eat that early, so I waited until I got to work. I eat a lot of the same thing sometimes, because I know how my body will react. When my tummy’s in turmoil, it’s easier that way.

Also, gratuitous announcement for NYC readers: have you been curious about Junior League because I write about it so often? We still have open spots for new members this fall, so e-mail me (theodora at theodorablanchfield dot com) if you have any questions/want to know more!

I’ve had a lot on my mind this week, but I’m trying not to eat my feelings. (Mostly because that would bother my stomach. Although I’m dying for some chicken pad see yew—I literally haven’t had it in years, and it used to be one of my favorite foods.)

Instead, I ran away to NJ for a little quality time with the parentals/personal day action. Lunch was a turkey burger and sweet potato fries, and we ordered Chinese for dinner because we were all too tired to cook. I wanted orange chicken, but I thought it might bother my stomach so I stuck with the chicken, vegetables and brown rice. And a spring roll.

My dad: “This one has all the vegetables, it must be yours, Theodora.”
