I love when I get to mix business with pleasure, and I love meeting other blog people. Today I did both! I had lunch with Cat, whom I’ve been following for a while. She works for an entertainment site, so I brought along my coworker who does digital outreach and boom! Business lunch.

We went to Taki Sushi, and had a great sushi lunch for about $8 per person. I had the spicy tuna and salmon and avocado rolls and a salad.

All was great…until I checked into Foursquare on my way out and realized that one of my coworkers had seen a big fat cockroach there the last time she was there. Fail.

Last night, I had two glasses of wine with dinner and got home around 11:30. By both “normal” standards and my former standards, this is not a ton of alcohol and not *super* late. Yet, all day today, I felt like I’d drank far more than two glasses and stayed out much later.

I can only think of one explanation: I’m getting old. 

Tonight, I met a friend for a drink and hoped that I regained my youth for a night. When I got home, I ordered sushi. There was a while there when I ordered food all the time. I feel like I’ve gotten better at cooking more, but when I’m truly busy, I’m more than okay with some takeout, so long as it stays healthy-ish.

So I was pretty excited to order sushi.
