After a lovely afternoon at Lincoln Center with my parents, we headed back downtown to Il Brigante, a cozy little Italian restaurant just off South Street Seaport and away from most of the tourists (not all). They have wonderful linguine bolognese, but I went for the veal with some arugula and broccoli rabe. My dad, who was eating carbonara (for the uninitiated, a bowl of unhealthiness: pasta, eggs, cream, proscuitto), made fun of me for all the greens.
