The ball is over.
The weekend is over.
I’m back at work.
Back to banana sandwiches.
Back to being more cognizant of what I put in my body, rather than going for champagne and greasy food.
Back to strength training. Back to at least eight hours of sleep a night.
Back to caring for myself in the long term, not just the short term.
Because I’m sick of the cycle lately where I spend all week making up for the weekend.
I am worth it seven days a week, and so are you.
Love this post. If you manage to figure out how to get 8 hours of sleep a night – let me know!! =)
@Beth @ Beth’s Journey to Thin: Last night I got 11 and it was amazing.
:)! Yesss, I hope you felt like a princess at the ball!
This is the story of my life. I spend every week making up for the weekend, or perhaps I spend every weekend overcompensating for the week?
If you figure this one out, please share!
I totally hear you on this! Glad I’m not the only one!
Yes! A healthy routine is the way to go 🙂 You got it!
@Runeatrepeat: And most of the time I do…but lately…
Love your post! I am back to peanut butter and banana sandwiches too! Oh weekdays! However, I have started adding a little bit of nutella to the sandwich, gives it a little extra special flavor!
“I am worth it seven days a week, and so are you.”
Seriously, thank you for this! I needed it today.
Perfect post – couldn’t agree more! Lately I’ve been slipping from my key New Year’s resolution – “treating my body with respect” – this post is definitely an inspiration to get back on track!
“Because I’m sick of the cycle lately where I spend all week making up for the weekend.” I love this line. It’s not even about healthy living, it’s about the fact that my life is totally unbalanced and I kill myself during the week because I’m lazy about just about everything on the weekends. Thank you for the reminder!
I think you are too hard on yourself! But at the same time, I am really using your ideas and encouragement to get myself back in shape, so your posts are actually quite motivational!
@melissa (fitnessnyc): I’m glad my being too hard on myself is helpful for you 🙂 You’re right, though, I probably am too hard on myself…
