A Christening, A Pork Chop and My TV Debut

So I haven’t run in days, but isn’t this baby cute?

Six months ago, my cousin and her husband adopted little Lexi, and yesterday was her christening.

They had a long wait for her, but it was obviously more than worth it.

LOOK AT THOSE CHEEKS!

Proud grandparents!

No mom and dad, you will not be getting one of these from me for at least a few years. Sorry.

This church is actually the church where my parents got married too.

So of course the world’s sweetest, most well-behaved baby started crying during the mass. Of course. But her parents got her quieted down quickly.

Surprisingly, she didn’t cry when she was dunked in the water.

By the time I got to the party, I was sick of taking pictures. But the food was really good!

Today I had some more errands to run in NJ before coming back this afternoon.

I had dinner with Tina, Ashley, Dori and Ashley’s friend Jessie at the new midtown The Smith.

Their potato chips with blue fondue are addicting, so we started off with those, and I got the pork chop with a cider reduction, latkes and roasted green apple chili mash for dinner.

Oh? You want to know why Tina is here again?

Well, we’re not running another marathon.

We’re not going to another blogger event.

She’s going to be on The Dr. Oz Show tomorrow for a cookie recipe as part of Dr. Oz’s Healthy Holiday Cookie Challenge, and I am joining as her trusty sidekick! (Which means I get to be on the show, too!!!!)

Time to get some beauty rest.
