For the past several years, I’ve done about one tri a year, so all I needed was one tri suit. This year, I did three tris, so I decided to add a bit to my tri wardrobe and pick up a new top at the expo.

I settled on this cute pink one; partially for the price (it was on sale at the expo), partially for the color and partially for the flattering, slimming panels.

I got the chance to talk to Andi Neugarten, the founder of Alii, the brand, at the NYC Tri expo and loved that the brand was designed for athletic women who valued both performance AND looks as well as figure-flattering designs for feminine bodies.

So when Alii emailed me and asked if I wanted to share more about the brand, as a customer, I was all about it! The brand makes tri clothes — both tri suits and gear for each of the legs — as well as regular workout/lifestyle clothes.

It’s all made in the USA from Italian technical fabrics, and the brand gets its name from a noble rank in ancient Hawaiian society and Alii drive in Kona, where the Ironman world championships end.

    I love love love the vest! However the raffcopter doesn’t seem to be working anymore even though it isn’t midnight Friday :/. So I didn’t enter there.
