It was a great weekend (check out my posts from earlier in the weekend here, here, and here), but even great things must come to an end, I guess. This morning, I woke up and had yet another banana sandwich (my stomach was definitely a little unsettled from lots of champagne and beer and this combo is always easy to digest) and then we packed up and hit the outlets. After a successful outlet trip a few weeks ago and some awesome birthday gifts, I wasn’t in the market for much other than a new pair of jeans.
And an awesome pair of J. Crew Matchstick jeans I got, for less than $50! (They retail for way closer to $100 outside of outlets.)
Afterwards, I hopped in the car with Lauren and Casey to head back to NYC. Three and a half hours and a little NYC traffic later, and I was back home on my couch. I usually love squeezing every last second out of the weekend and coming back on a Sunday evening, but it’s nice to have a little extra time to unwind solo. (Although my solo dance party while cleaning was no match for last night’s dance party.) It was an amazing weekend, but spending the weekend with 16 other people is a lot to take for anyone, but especially someone who lives alone.
I mean, who lives with a sweet little dog.
As you know, sushi is one of my favorite ways to unwind, especially after a weekend away.
I’m trying to catch up on e-mail, Facebook, etc., and I am smiling all over again at the sweet birthday comments I got. Thanks again so much!
And a very special thank you to Ashley and Bo, our hosts for the weekend, for hosting us at such a fun place. And a huge thank you to everyone else for making my birthday weekend so special and making sure I never felt like a 17th wheel around eight couples. I really had some reservations going as the only single person, but I’m glad I got over myself and had fun.
