It was a great weekend (check out my posts from earlier in the weekend here, here, and here), but even great things must come to an end, I guess. This morning, I woke up and had yet another banana sandwich (my stomach was definitely a little unsettled from lots of champagne and beer and this combo is always easy to digest) and then we packed up and hit the outlets. After a successful outlet trip a few weeks ago and some awesome birthday gifts, I wasn’t in the market for much other than a new pair of jeans.

And an awesome pair of J. Crew Matchstick jeans I got, for less than $50! (They retail for way closer to $100 outside of outlets.)

Afterwards, I hopped in the car with Lauren and Casey to head back to NYC. Three and a half hours and a little NYC traffic later, and I was back home on my couch. I usually love squeezing every last second out of the weekend and coming back on a Sunday evening, but it’s nice to have a little extra time to unwind solo. (Although my solo dance party while cleaning was no match for last night’s dance party.) It was an amazing weekend, but spending the weekend with 16 other people is a lot to take for anyone, but especially someone who lives alone.

I mean, who lives with a sweet little dog.

As you know, sushi is one of my favorite ways to unwind, especially after a weekend away.

I’m trying to catch up on e-mail, Facebook, etc., and I am smiling all over again at the sweet birthday comments I got. Thanks again so much!

And a very special thank you to Ashley and Bo, our hosts for the weekend, for hosting us at such a fun place. And a huge thank you to everyone else for making my birthday weekend so special and making sure I never felt like a 17th wheel around eight couples. I really had some reservations going as the only single person, but I’m glad I got over myself and had fun.

Seriously, this week can’t get any better!

I ran a fast (for me) half-marathon Sunday. From Sunday – Thursday, I was pretty much glowing. Tuesday, I had a third interview. Yesterday, I got offered the job.

Today, after meeting up with Cara, I was meandering down Broadway back to my end of the island, wandering in and out of stores. After losing my favorite water bottle at the gym, I decided to go for it and buy the ridiculous I <3 Running Lululemon water bottle. As the girl was ringing me up, we started chatting about running and she asked how I had started running. I told her I’d lost a bunch of weight and got bored of the gym. “How much weight?” she asked.

“50 pounds,” I said.

“50 POUNDS! Girl, I get to give away one free thing a day. And you just inspired me! Go pick out a headband!” So I went and picked out a headband, feeling pretty damn awesome.

I had left my stuff at the gym last night, so I had to go back there today to get it. As long as I was there, I figured I’d work out…but I just wasn’t feeling it all day. I walked into the gym thinking I’d do a hard 15 minutes on the StairMaster and peace out.

I walk into the gym, and receptionist scanned my card and said, “Congratulations! You’re a champion member!” She told me to go talk to the manager, and he told me that I’d won $100 to use at the gym because I’d been a member for so long!

It’s been a good week!!!! I hope you have a weekend as great as my week.
