Marathon Confessions

I am terrified.

Terrified.

I don’t think I’ve trained enough. At all. I’ve done all of my long runs, but one, but I have totally sucked on my during-the-week runs. I usually run on Saturdays and Sundays and maybe once more during the week if I’m lucky.

I don’t do speed work. (My speed work was running in Hawaii with Lindsay, who’s faster than me.)

I know that my long runs are the most important, so I’m glad I’ve done them all (except for one), and that they’ve gone relatively well. Because I really fear I’m half-assing this marathon. That I didn’t realize the time commitment involved.

And this week was supposed to be the week I redeemed myself, but I got sick, and so I haven’t run since my run on Sunday. (I was supposed to run yesterday, but I took a rest day. I was supposed to bike today but I did yoga.)

I’m terrified I won’t finish.

On an equally heavy note…

I finished my Chinese leftovers tonight. I felt like I had a boulder in my stomach today after eating these last night, so I’m glad to be done with them.
