This morning I met Ashley and Ali (and Ashley’s friend Lauren) at the gym for classes with this hot man.
Before I went, I had a banana sandwich. I don’t know what it is, but I can’t stop eating these lately. Maybe I’m making up for lost time.
After going to sleep at 1:30 last night, the last thing I wanted to do was walk over a mile in the cold (UPHILL! BOTH WAYS! BAREFOOT!) to go work out. In fact, I was about to bail when Ashley tweeted that she was excited to see me.
Fine… I knew I’d be happy when I was done so I trudged down to the Equinox on 19th Street, which is WAY more scene-y than the one I usually go to. We did an arms class followed by an abs class, and there were people nearly on top of each other, clad in Lululemon as far as the eye could see. (Not me, I rolled out in some old pants and a tech tee.) I felt way underdressed, which is really kind of ridiculous at a class at the gym, and a little clumsy, but I pressed on, occasionally glaring at my friends.
All of a sudden, Ashley and Ali had got up and Ali took my weights. What’s going on??? It turns out the abs class was in a different room and so we had to go downstairs to get a good spot. Intense. The classes were hard, and I really wasn’t in the mood, but I’m glad I had friends to motivate me.
Afterwards, we went to Coffee Shop to grab lunch/brunch. On Ali’s recommendation, I had a California wrap: eggs with avocado, bacon and cheese. I mean, obviously I had it. Afterwards, we walked around the city all afternoon.
So now it’s snuggle time. I earned it.
Oh, and I tried on a dress for my Junior League Winter Ball. It’s pretty, but I still like last year’s better, so I don’t think I’m ready to buy it.
