The Day I Had a Full Film Crew at My Apartment

The other day, I got an e-mail from Heather. She had been invited to film a video and had to pass and thought I might be interested. Since I’m down for anything that might be a good story, I decided to go for it.

When I got home from work, there were three camera people, two representatives from a PR firm and one other person waiting in my lobby. I had been running a minute or two behind, so my doorman had called.

“Hi, Theodora? It’s Doug, the doorman at your building. There’s…um…a film crew? Here, waiting for you.”

“Okay, I’ll be there in two minutes.”

I escorted the whole crew (literally) up to my apartment, where they took over.

Unfortunately, I can’t tell you what this is for until the video comes out this summer, but they did say I can post photos from the shoot.

Getting mic-ed up.

Oh hey. Just a cameraman in my shower. No biggie.

Yes, I felt as awkward as I looked here for part of the shoot. I’m not super-shy, but I’m also not naturally a performer, so it took a little bit of getting used to a camera and all those lights on me and a CREW OF PEOPLE filming me.

I’ve had some really cool opportunities through blogging, but this one takes the cake.

Since this a food and fitness blog, and not a Theodora-does-cool-stuff blog, you might want to know what I ate today.

A banana/sunflower butter sandwich on an everything bagel thin.

Some roasted vegetables, a chicken pattie and brown rice. Yeah, my night was more interesting than my day 😉

After the crew left, I ordered and then inhaled some sushi. Time to get to sleep so I can get to D.C. tomorrow!

Disclosure: I received a gift card and free product in exchange for filming this video. The awkward smiles are all mine, though.
