Sunshine on My Shoulders Makes Me Happy

Today was a really good day.

I got out of bed for a run this morning–just a nice 3 miles along the Hudson. I still consider it a miracle when I manage to work out before work.

I ran in a skirt. In February. In NYC. I love this weather.

I had a lovely walk to work. (I usually walk to work, but today’s walk was especially lovely because of the weather.)

AND! I may have found a new apartment. Long story short, my rent’s going up, so I need to move by March 31. Even though most people in NYC typically don’t look until the month they move, I’ve been looking the past few weeks because the idea of having to make a last-minute decision on an apartment freaks me out. I don’t want to jinx anything, but I’m really excited about the possibility.

And, of course, I’m excited about Disney! I leave tomorrow night after work. (So jealous of everyone who got to go tonight! I couldn’t take tomorrow off.)

I’m dressing up as Tinkerbell, and I’m wearing a green Team Sparkle skirt. (Mostly because I can also wear it for the DC Half on St. Patrick’s Day next month if I want.)

I also stopped at JackRabbit on my way home from work to look for a green tank to go with the skirt. I hope this actually matches in person. If not, I have a nice new green running tank, because it was final sale and I can’t return it.

It’s Rese, a brand I’d never heard of before tonight. FYI, they size things really generously–I’m an XS in that shirt, and I am not an XS lady. So I may just wear nothing but Rese for life.

How was your day, and do you have a favorite brand whose sizing is also very generous?

The weather was nice today. I’m glad I got the run in this morning because the weather is going to crap tomorrow!
Tinker Bell is a great outfit for Disney! I was curious what your costume would be. 🙂
    Good luck with the apartment.

I just signed a lease on a new apartment for April 14! I think looking ahead of time is awesome, people don’t realize that it is possible. Can’t wait to hear about the new place. I LOVE that running skirt. I want one now.

Which Jack Rabbit store were you at!? I’m headed over tonight and may have to pick one of those puppies up. (it would be awesome if I were talking about an actual puppy, not a tank top, but still)
