Saving Myself for the Bunny

Happy belated Easter/Passover!

I’m back in NYC after a fun Easter in NJ.

I made a tough decision of which hummus to pick from a display of basically hundreds. (Sabra Sun-Dried Tomato, if you were wondering.)

Ate salad AND pasta. (Linguine with white clam sauce.)

Dyed Easter Eggs.

IMG_1334.JPG

Gave Bailey a bunny basket.

IMG_1337.JPG

Ate eggs with mozzarella. Maybe not pretty, but delicious.

IMG_1341.JPG

Drank mimosas.

IMG_1344.JPG

Ate things in flaky pastry. (Pigs in a blanket and spanakopita.)

Paused for a doggie photoshoot.

“What are you doing?!”

I don’t even know.

After the appetizers came the spaghetti course, obviously. I went with whole wheat pasta with mine.

Usually, we take a very short break between the spaghetti course and every other course, but yesterday, we were absolutely stuffed, so we took a long break and a long walk. (In which I tricked my mom and Lacey into a longer walk.)

Round two involved Brussels sprouts with bacon and maple syrup.

IMG_1356.JPG

A spinach salad with goat cheese, grape tomatoes and balsamic vinaigrette.

IMG_1357.JPG

And half a sweet potato and chateaubriand. Which was all delicious and stuff…

But I was saving myself for this bunny ice cream cake.

And this morning, I miraculously was out of bed at 5:50 to run 4.5 miles with Ashley. I’m glad we’re living close to each other, because Ashley is definitely a morning exerciser, and I’m hoping we’ll have more morning workout dates.

Thank YOU for the run date! It wasn’t our fastest run together, by far, but it was exactly what I needed. Catching up, logging some miles, and enjoying a beautiful sunrise is perfect for a Monday morning! 🙂

I’m definitely a morning exerciser too – if you and Ashley ever run together on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, count me in!

(Because I’m guessing you don’t want to go at 3:45am on a Monday).

I love that your mimosas are basically a glass of champagne with a teeny tiny splash of OJ.

All of these pictures of food are making my mouth watered. I am glad that you had a good easter weekend. Most importantly awesome for the morning workout. I am starting back my working out afterwork no matter what routine today.
