Simple but Awesome

Today was simple but awesome.

Woke up feeling like a normal human being for the first time all week and felt very grateful for my health.

Signed up for the Color Run: Aug. 26, Team Wine and Cheese. (If the team subdivides, I call wine.)

Got a whole lot done at work and didn’t feel completely underwater after my sick day.

Attended our Junior League Annual meeting and nearly cried multiple times (biggest sap in the world here) hearing about the passion and hard work our volunteers put in.

Was called up on stage with the rest of the Management Council for next year and didn’t fall walking up there or back. (I don’t think my blog conveys well enough just how clumsy I am. Well, I am.)

Took a nice long walk with Bailey.

Got a fun email about the Healthy Living Summit, where I will be speaking again. (Tickets go on sale next Tuesday.) [Previous HLS-related posts]

Had the ultimate single-girl dinner: eggs with salsa, a glass of wine and an Almond Dream ice cream sandwich. I am so in love with these things.

And you? What were your little pleasures today?

single girl? I’m going to try to convince my husband that sounds like the perfect dinner tonight… I’ve been thinking about it since lunch time!

I spent most of yesterday in the ER with pretty severe pain in my spine so today’s simple pleasure was the ability to get out of bed and move my neck without going into hysterical crying. Plus all of the love and support I’ve received after yesterday’s crazy day.

Just emailed you and asked about HLS, came here and my question was answered. šŸ™‚

I’m doing the Color Me Rad 5K in July and I’m totally pumped. It’s going to be a blast.

Oohhh Simple pleasures? Painting our basement something other than white šŸ˜› And probably eating reese’s peanut butter icecream with my sisters and my mommy!

Hey, do you have an iphone or a smart phone? šŸ™‚ I follow your blog and know that you really love being fit. I read your story! Great and inspiring! I have a friend who just started a small app design company and came out with an app called, “Fitness Friend.” It’s the simplest fitness application I’ve seen on the market, and it connects you with friends on Facebook so you can have some dual motivation goin’ on… Just thought I’d mention it.
