Things I’m Excited For

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it,” said a wise man once.

I have a ton coming up in the next few weeks that I’m super excited for.

Tomorrow: JuicePress run followed by DERBY DAY! Fully embodying my blog name tomorrow.

My mom got me a Lilly dress for Easter that didn’t fit, so I exchanged it for this beaut. IT HAS LOBSTERS ON IT.

LOBSTER DE MAYO.

This is a real thing, y’all. Part lobster event, part tequila tasting event. FreshDirect is a sponsor, and their social team reached out to me to see if I wanted to come. NO THANKS, I HATE FUN. I am beside-myself excited.

My coworkers are running this as their first half, and I am SO excited for them. Also, everyone I know is running it.

Memorial Day

This is the first Memorial Day since 2007 that I won’t be going to the Outer Banks. I’ve loved going down there, but it is such a trek from New York. I usually drove to DC, stayed the night, then woke up and finished the drive with friends. Coming back, I usually drove it straight, and it never took less than 12 hours because I usually had to come back on Memorial Day. I really wanted to go, but that just sounds exhausting to me this year. (Flying isn’t much better: it’s still a two hour drive from Norfolk, and flying + renting a car isn’t worth it to me.)

What about you? What’s exciting in your world?

I’m looking forward to the derby today too! Plus the weather is actually cooperating, so I’m going out for my first run this week. Just a laid back weekend over here!

That lobster dress looks absolutely gorgeous (seeing it from the instagram feed on the right side of this page as I type). And REALLY? Lobsert de Mayo? I can’t wait to get my hands on that event when I move to NYC next year! Thanks for sharing!
