Pushing Myself

I’m not gonna lie–I’m really proud of myself.

This morning, I went to a spin class at my gym, like I said I was going to do. My third class before work this week! When my alarm went off at 5:45, I was GRUMPY.

Why did I decide to work out in the morning?

Why did I have to tell the Internet?

I don’t have plans after work tonight–can’t I just do it then?

Then I remembered that I had reserved a bike, so I didn’t really have a choice. And any excuses would be just that–excuses. When Jess asked me to go to Physique on Monday, I realized I really had no good excuse not to. Why couldn’t I work out before work?

And why should Ali get all the awesome morning pictures?

(Because I can’t walk anywhere without seeing a pizza place.)

Morning workouts mean I get to have breakfast and blog before work, too. Look at all this free time!

Do you work out at night or in the morning?

I absolutely work out in the morning – the longer I wait in the day, the more likely I am to back out. Plus, I love having that out of the way, and I feel more inspired to continue the healthy vibe throughout the day! Congrats on 3 morning classes in a week – changing your schedule like that is a huge accomplishment 🙂

I mostly work out in the evening – but I’m trying to get into the groove of morning workouts. I would have to give up some of my internet time, but I wake up ridiculously early (5 am – I leave the house at 7:20) so I should make the most of it.

I try to workout atleast one morning during the workweek, sometimes two. While working out every morning leaves me feeling a bit too depleated, having an extra evening or two free really lets me keep my schedule more oopen and give me the ability to be a bit more flexible plans wise. Its a balance I’m still working on, but so far I’ve been a fan.

I never thought I could work out in the morning then I signed up for a 3 day a week 5:30 am boot camp class and once I got in the groove of working out at that time I found that I really like getting the workout done and over on the morning. I sleep in my workout clothes so on days that I feel like skipping I just tell myself, you’re already ready. Just get up and go. You get used to waking up at that time and it makes rest days so much more enjoyable. 🙂

You are hilarious. SO proud of you for sticking with the morning workouts and giving them a shot. You are a rock star. Do I tell you that enough?

Just in case you need to hear/read it again: rock star = Theodora.

I think one of the best things about blogging.. is you say something, and then you feel like you must hold yourself accountable! You wrote it.. now you gotta do it! 🙂 Nice job following through!
